12. Let it Grow interviews

Let it Grow journal
Noël Loozen on film, flowers and fertility.

For Let it Grow’s journal, in 2018, I got to meet filmmaker and flower-lover Noël Loozen to discuss his flower-filled short film Botanica and how plants inspire his life. Contact me if you’d like to read this interview in full.

Interview extract:
“Gardens with vibrant blossoms and blooming flowers are often metaphors for fertility or the growth of an exciting new conception. Where there is fertile ground, a planted seed and determination, Mother Nature will begin to work her magic—or, perhaps not. Dutch film director Noël Loozen (HALAL) explores the theme of infertility in his short film Botanica – we visited him at his studio in Amsterdam where he shared his colourful inspirations and perspectives on flowers and plants throughout his work.”

“Flowers and plants are art objects, created by nature. It’s just like that" – Noël Loozen.
